25X: Senior Signal Sergeant
Major Duties: The senior signal sergeant
plans, develops, coordinates, directs, and supervises the
installation, operation and management of integrated C2 telecommunications
and information management networks. Writes Command and Control
Communications policy. Provides technical advice and assistance
to commanders, staff, and subordinate units. Coordinates Signal
activities with higher, lower and adjacent headquarters. Performs
Signal staff and Senior Operations NCO functions, to include
writing C4I policy, procedures, operations plans, orders,
and reports. Uses computers to control and monitor network
status in an operational environment. Directs and assists
Battlefield Spectrum Managers in the development of frequency
allocation plans. Develops battlefield Signal operations plans
in support of organizations at battalion and higher levels,
and for Joint and Combined Commands and activities.
Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial
award of MOS. The senior signal sergeant must possess
the following qualifications:
(1) Physical Demands Rating:

(2) Physical Profile: 222221
(3) Normal color vision.
(4) Minimum score in aptitude
area: N/A.
(5) A security clearance of SECRET.
(6) A U.S. citizen.
(7) Formal training (completion of CMF 25 Advanced NCO course
conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Signal School)
mandatory or waiver may be granted by Commandant, USASC&FG,
Ft Gordon, GA 30905.
MOS 25X was known as 31Z before fiscal year 2005.
