63G: Fuel
& Electrical Systems Repairer
Major Duties: The fuel and electrical systems
repairer performs direct support and general support (DS/GS)
maintenance on fuel and electrical systems of wheel and track
vehicles, brake system components, and on internal combustion
engines associated with power generation equipment or material
handling equipment. Duties for MOS 63G at each skill level
are:
- Skill Levels
- Skill Level 1 MOSC 63G1O. Repairs
the fuel supply pumps, fuel pumps (metering and injection),
fuel injectors, governors, wiring harnesses, alternators/generators,
starters, regulators and electricalcontrol boxes, DC
electrical motors, air brake system components, hydraulic
brake system components, and personnel heaters.
- Skill Level 2 MOSC 63G2O. Performs
duties in preceding skill level, supervises lower grade
soldiers and provides technical guidance to the soldiers
in the accomplishment of their duties.
Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial
award of MOS. The fuel and electrical systems repairer
must possess the following qualifications:
(1) Physical Demands Rating:
very heavy
(2) Physical Profile: 222232
(3) Normal color vision.
(4) Minimum score of 105 in aptitude
area MM.
(5) A knowledge of construction, functions, and nomenclature
of wheel and track vehicles and materials-handling equipment.
(6) A knowledge of internal combustion engines.
(7) Formal training (completion of MOS 63G course conducted
under the auspices of the USA Ordnance Center and School)
mandatory; or meet the civilian acquired skills criteria listed
in AR 601-210.
