52F: Turbine
Engine Driven Generator Repairer
Major Duties: The turbine engine driven
generator repairer performs and supervises unit, direct support
and general support (DS/GS) maintenance functions, including
overhaul (but not rebuild) of turbine engine driven tactical
generator sets, turbine engine prime mover of tactical generator
set and associated equipment. Duties for MOS 52F at each skill
level are:
- Skill Levels
- Skill Level 1 MOSC 52F1O. Performs
unit and DS/GS maintenance of turbine driven generators
and associated items such as the Aviation Ground Power
Unit (AGPU), Medical Unit Self-Contained Transportable
(MUST), Electric Power Plant II (EPP II) and generator
set Aviation 10KW 28V (10/28).
- Skill Level 2 MOSC 52F2O. Perform
duties in preceding skill level, supervises lower grade
soldiers and provides technical guidance to the soldiers
in the accomplishment of their duties. Repairs or overhauls
components and assemblies, such as starters, turbine
driven generators, fuel pumps, exciters, voltage regulators,
governors, switches, and control circuits, etc.
- Skill Level 3 MOSC 52F3O. Perform
duties in preceding skill levels, supervises lower grade
soldiers and provides technical guidance to the soldiers
in the accomplishment of their duties. Supervises activities
of a section performing unit or DS/GS maintenance on
turbine engine driven generator sets, Aviation Ground
Power Unit (AGPU), Medical Unit Self-Contained and Transportable
(MUST), Electric Power Plant II (EPP II), and generator
set Aviation 10KW 28V (10/ 28).
Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial
award of MOS. The turbine engine driven generator repairer
must possess the following qualifications:
(1) Physical Demands Rating:
very heavy
(2) Physical Profile: 221121
(3) Normal color vision.
(4) Minimum score of 100 in aptitude
area GM.
(5) Formal training (completion of MOS 52F course conducted
under the auspices of the USA Ordnance Center and School)
mandatory.
