Birthday: The post of Adjutant General was
established June 16th, 1775, and has been continuously in
operation since that time. The Adjutant General's Department,
by that name, was established by the act of 3 March 1813 and
was redesignated the Adjutant General's Corps in 1950.
Mission Statement: To train leaders and
soldiers in providing personnel service support for the Army
of today and the 21st century through excellence in doctrine,
leader development, organization, material, and soldiers.

AIT Location: Fort
Jackson, South Carolina except for Army Bands, which do
their training in Norfolk, Virginia.
Alphanumeric changes
Personnel CMF: Changing from 75 to 42 in fiscal year 2005.
75B and 75H will be merging into a single MOS(42A: Human Resources
Specialist) in the same time period.
Administration CMF: Administrative Specialist, currently
71L, will be deleted by fiscal year 2008. Legal Specialist
moved from 71D to 27D in fiscal year 2002. Administration
will no longer be a CMF after 71L is deleted.
Band CMF: 02A(Band Member) and 02S(Special Band Member) will
move to the Personnel CMF in fiscal year 2005.
