46Z: Public Affairs Chief


Major Duties: The public affairs chief supervises radio and television broadcasting, Army command information and public affairs programs. MOS 46Z50 personnel must be able to supervise personnel performing the duties of MOS 46Q and 46R at skill “5” and below.

Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial award of MOS. The public affairs chief must possess the following qualifications:

(1) Hold MOS 46Q or 46R prior to award of MOS 46Z. Under extraordinary circumstances this requirement is waiverable by the Chief of Public Affairs, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Washington, DC 20310.

(2) Physical Demands Rating: N/A

(3) Physical Profile: 323332

(4) Minimum score in aptitude area: N/A

The major duties, physical demands, physical profile, and skill levels were obtained from Army Pamphlet 611-21.
