Basic Training Journal: Sunday, August 24th

Our platoon guide came back to our platoon today. There's no way he'll stay PG after the fight yesterday. I was surprised they were so lenient on them. The drill sergeants scare us with talk about the Uniform Code of Military Justice(UCMJ) but I guess they decided to give those two guys another chance. Since it's the first time they got in a fight they only got counseling statements I bet.

Today I spent most of the day painting the dining facility. It was actually cool because we got to eat first and drink Powerade whenever we wanted to. I had to paint because the housemouse picked people randomly to do it. The housemouse is another person chosen by the drill sergeant. The housemouse writes up the fire guard roster, gives people details, etc.
