Fort Polk


  • Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital - One of the medical treatment facilities of Great Plains Regional Medical Command (GPRMC).
  • Fort Polk & Joint Readiness Training Center, LA - The Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) is the U.S. Army's premier training center for light infantry and special operations units.
  • Headquarteres and Headquarters Company, USAG - The unit’s primary mission is to provide administrative and logistical support to the soldiers who work for Garrison Directorates. HHC USAG also serves as the Headquarters Company for the post and supports training for the 4013th Garrison Support Unit Army Reserve counterpart.
  • Joint Readiness Training Center Operations Group - JRTC Operations Group is charged with primary responsibility for all training conducted at the center. Ops Group builds the framework of the JRTC training experience, providing rotating units with the closest encounter with a battlefield that is possible during peacetime.
  • 46th Engineer Battalion - On order, the 46th Engineer Battalion deploys, with or without equipment, to conduct mobility, survivability and sustainment engineering operations.
  • 5th Personnel Services Battalion - Mission: exercise Command and Control over assigned and attached TO&E units and, on order deploy to support FORSCOM/XVIII Airborne Corps missions. Provide DS Personnel Service, Finance, and Public Affairs support to the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and Fort Polk..
  • Warrior Brigade - Mission: ensure the combat readiness of assigned Modification Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) units and prepare them to support FORSCOM/Theater commander-in-chiefs (CINCs) for wartime or contingency deployments; provides command and control, training validation, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), administrative, and logistical support to Reserve Component (RC) units mobilized at Fort Polk. Provides support to Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and Fort Polk.
