- Fort A.P. Hill - As a sub-installation of Fort Belvoir, Va., and part of the Military District of Washington, Fort A.P. Hill provides an environment where U.S. armed forces come to hone their combat edge. Fort A.P. Hill is one of the nation’s premier all-purpose, year-round, military training destinations.
- Fort Myer Military Community - The Fort Myer Military Community, or FMMC, is one of the United States Army's newest garrison commands, made up of two of its most historic installations: Fort Myer, Va., and Fort McNair, D.C. Formed in 1993, the FMMC is the Army's showcase organization in the National Capital Region. Forts Myer and McNair are home to the Army's most prestigious ceremonial units, the Military District of Washington, and the National Defense University.
- 3rd U.S. Infantry (The Old Guard) - The 3d U.S Infantry, traditionally known as The Old Guard, is the oldest continuously serving active-duty infantry unit in the Army, serving our nation since 1784. The Old Guard is the Army's official ceremonial unit and escort to the President of the United States.
